Open Evening

Register now for our Open Evening!

Wednesday 24th April, 6pm-7pm

Are you considering a Senior Independent School for your child, and looking for the best possible 11+ experience?

We are holding an informative Open Evening for prospective parents of current Reception to Year 4 children, to discover how the 11+ process at Pownall Hall, led by true 11+ experts, could support your child in achieving an offer from their school(s) of choice. Finding the perfect balance between an enhanced academic curriculum and our nurturing ethos, Pownall Hall pupils achieve industry leading 11+ results within a supportive, happy, family-like environment.

Are you currently at another independent prep school but not entirely confident about how the next few years will go?
Are you at a state school who don’t offer an enhanced curriculum nor have in-depth knowledge of the 11+ process to provide you with advice and guidance?
Are you relying on your own research and/or additional tutor support?
If you feel you can relate to any of these then a move to Pownall Hall will be, without a doubt, the solution that your family is looking for.

FAQ’s

Are children able to attend?

Yes, your children are more than welcome to come along.

How long will the event last for?

We predict the event to last approximately 1 hour, and no longer than 1.5 hours. You are more than welcome to return for a personal tour with our Headmaster should you wish.

Unfortunately I am unable to make this date, will you be holding another event?

This will likely be our final Open Event this academic year, however we hold personal, Headmaster-led tours every day that school is open. Please complete the form here, and our Admissions Manager will be in touch.

Do children settle ok moving schools?

Each year, we have a number of children who join us both in September and mid-year across all year groups and, although every child is different, children at this age are very adaptable, and settle quickly into our friendly, family-like environment.

Which senior schools do Pownall pupils get offers from?

Pownall pupils are successful in achieving offers to all of the top performing senior independent schools in the North West, and occasionally further afield! We don’t have an affiliation with any one specific senior school, meaning that our families have freedom of choice to select the best fit for their child. Our staff have expert knowledge of all the senior schools in the area, and therefore are in a strong position to provide advice when needed, and to support your children through the specific 11+ process of your chosen schools.

Hear from our parents…

“The biggest difference I have found since moving from a local state school is the sense of family that surrounds Pownall. We really do feel part of one big family. Staff are kind and welcoming and every child you see from the babies to the older children all have a smile on their faces. My children are so much more confident in their own abilities and I think this is because every child is celebrated. They now approach their homework with a positive attitude, they are challenged but don’t give up, eager to please their teachers. The brilliant opportunities outside of the classroom have helped to incentivise my children, instilling a ‘work hard play hard ethic’.We can’t thank everyone enough, our only regret is not making the leap sooner”
