Form 1 have been learning all about the French tradition of eating the cake, Galette des Rois this week.
The learned that the French cake, made out of puff pastry, is eaten during the Epiphany, as it celebrates the arrival of the three Kings.
The cake is baked with a small charm inside and whoever finds the charm in their slice, becomes King for the day. The King then chooses a Queen and then everyone has to follow their orders!
The most fun was definitely eating Madame Petticrew’s delicious Galette des Rois!
