Netball Champions… again!

The U11 Pownall Netball Squad picked up their 2nd trophy of the season last Friday, this time at the Newcastle Invitational Tournament, with a superb display of fast, accurate, disciplined free-flowing netball!

Three group games saw the team amass 39 goals for and 0, yes 0, against. Ruthless attacking, irresistible defending and fluid, flowing link play in between meant that every rival was dispatched.

In the semi final, after a close fought first 5 minutes, Pownall moved into top gear and hit 10 unanswered goals to win the match 12-2.

In the final, a new opponent that Pownall have never faced before, who had also won all of their games.

In what was a hard fought and very tense match, Pownall managed to snatch the victory, 5 – 4!

Outstanding netball was accompanied by a wonderful team spirit. This really is Prep School sport at its very best!

Congratulations to Mrs Johnstone and the Pownall U11 Netball Squad.

Champions… again! 🏆
