At Pownall Hall School, our fees reflect the quality of education, care and opportunity we provide at every stage, from our Woodland Nursery through to Form 6. Small class sizes, experienced teachers, a broad curriculum and exceptional pastoral care ensure that every child is known, supported and encouraged to thrive.
Fees are outlined below by age. Our Admissions and Business teams are always happy to discuss individual circumstances or answer any questions.
Pownall Hall School offers a limited number of means-tested bursaries for children in Forms 1-6, to support families for whom full school fees would otherwise be prohibitive. Bursaries are awarded following a confidential assessment process and are intended to widen access to a Pownall education for families who share our values and long-term commitment to the school.

In order to maintain the very highest standards of staff qualifications, ensuring excellent staff retention, outstanding provision including access to specialist teachers and remaining below national ratios, we only offer the universal 15 free hours for 3 to 4 year olds.
We do not offer the 30 hours childcare for working families of children aged 9 months upwards or the 15 hours funding for 2 year olds.
Prior to your child reaching the age of 3, we will provide all parents with the relevant forms for completion so that we can claim the 15 free hours on your behalf. Parents not returning the completed forms will be charged the full day rate (Kindergarten) or term fees (Reception).
Funded hours are available term time only(approximately 35 weeks).
And for the entirety of our school day but can not be used for wraparound care.
As of the end of our Summer Term 2026, we will no longer be accepting government funding.

We accept, and will continue to accept, payment from tax free childcare accounts (or vouchers) for childcare, wrap around care and Holiday Quest. We can also accept this method of payment for children in Reception up to and including the term that they turn 5 years old.
