Admissions Process

We understand that the admissions process for overseas pupils can seem daunting, but we are here to help every step of the way! Here is an overview of the process:

  1. Initial Inquiry: We encourage you to reach out with any questions you may have about our school, curriculum, and the application process. You can contact our Admissions Team via email or phone.
  2. Personal Tour and Consultation: If possible, we invite you to visit us and take a personal tour. This will allow you and your family to experience our school environment first-hand and meet our team. If you will not be able to visit, the Headmaster would be delighted to have a video call with you, so you can ask any questions you may have and to discuss how Pownall could support your child.
  3. Application Submission: Once you are ready to proceed, you will need to submit an application form along with the required documents, including previous school reports, reference letters, and any additional information that may support your application.
  4. Assessment and Interview: For pupils applying for entry into Years 1 and above, an assessment will be scheduled to evaluate your child’s academic abilities. This may include an interview to better understand your child’s interests and aspirations. The assessment and interview can be hosted at your child’s current school.
  5. Offer and Acceptance: If your child is offered a place, you will receive a formal acceptance letter along with information on the next steps, including payment of the deposit to secure their place.
  6. Welcome to Pownall Hall: We look forward to welcoming your child and your family to our school community! Once enrolled, our team will work closely with you to ensure a smooth transition into school life.
