Mrs Victoria Jackson
Wraparound Care Manager
At Pownall Hall School, wraparound care is designed to support modern family life while maintaining the same standards of care, supervision and warmth that children experience during the school day.
Our provision offers continuity, familiarity and flexibility, ensuring that children feel secure, relaxed and well cared for beyond core school hours and during the holidays.
We offer flexible wraparound care for pupils from 7.30am to 6.00pm, delivered by familiar members of staff in a calm and welcoming environment.
Breakfast Club opens from 7.30am, providing children with a relaxed start to the day and a nutritious breakfast before lessons begin. This early morning provision is particularly helpful for families managing work or preschool drop-offs, and allows children to arrive feeling settled and ready for the day ahead.
Our After School Care runs until 6.00pm and provides a gentle transition from the school day. Children are offered a light tea and have time to unwind with a range of age-appropriate activities, including games, crafts and quiet play.
Children attending extra-curricular clubs during the afternoon move seamlessly into After School Care once their activities conclude, allowing families to collect at a convenient time without disruption.
Wraparound care at Pownall Hall is delivered by staff who know the children well. This continuity ensures that children feel comfortable, confident and supported, whether they are staying for a short session or a full afternoon.
Our focus is always on wellbeing, enjoyment and a sense of belonging, rather than simply supervision.
Holiday Quest is our on-site holiday provision for children aged 3–11, available throughout the school holidays, with the exception of bank holidays and INSET days.
Designed specifically for Pownall pupils, Holiday Quest offers a varied and engaging programme that balances fun, creativity and active play, all within the familiar surroundings of the school.
Activities vary by holiday but typically include:
Creative arts and crafts
Sport and games
Outdoor learning and bushcraft
Drama, music and themed activities
Time to relax and enjoy friendships
Children also benefit from access to school facilities such as the Forest School areas and the Boddington Theatre, allowing them to make full use of the Pownall Hall environment.
Holiday Club is staffed by Pownall Hall teachers and teaching assistants, offering reassurance and continuity from term time into the holidays. This familiar team understands each child’s needs and routines, creating a calm, inclusive and supportive atmosphere.
Wraparound Care Manager
I am a passionate childcare professional with a rich cultural background, being half Italian and raised in a family that values nurturing and care. Educated at Princess Christian College in Manchester, I discovered an early love for working with children and have dedicated my career to supporting young people’s growth and development. With a hands-on approach and years of experience since finishing school, I combine creativity, empathy, and professionalism to create safe and enriching environments where children thrive in my care.
I started my career as a private nanny, gaining invaluable in-home childcare experience and developing a deep understanding of individual children’s needs. In 2002, I transitioned into an in-school role at The King’s School in Macclesfield, where I acquired extensive knowledge and experience working within a classroom environment. This foundation allowed me to further my career in 2013 by joining Pownall Hall School, where I have continued to build on my expertise and prioritise professional development. Over the years, I have used my gained skills to foster positive learning environments and support children’s growth both academically and emotionally.
I joined Pownall Hall School in 2013 in a part-time role, allowing me to balance caring for my young children at home whilst continuing my professional development. Over time, I transitioned into a full-time position, gradually taking on increased responsibilities within the school. While continuing my role as a dedicated teaching assistant, I now oversee all aspects of wraparound care, including breakfast club, aftercare, and holiday care, ensuring the provision of a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children beyond the classroom. In addition, I serve as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), supporting the safeguarding and welfare of children in the absence of the DSL. This expanded role highlights my commitment to the well-being and development of every child in their care.

My Name is Jessica Pattison and I am the Nightingale Room Lead.
I began my Pownall journey in 2018 whilst studying a BA Honours Degree in Early Childhood. Whilst working alongside fantastic Teachers at Pownall, I continued my studies to become an Early Years Teacher and qualified in 2023.
I have 16 years experience working with children aged 3-4 years which has always been a passion of mine. What I love most about being an Early Years Teacher is that every day is different, I love that I get to play a vital role in a child’s learning and development and that I make a difference every day. Whether that be, teaching children new skills that extend their learning or providing children with endless opportunities for them to continue to thrive.
Working in Early Years is an incredibly rewarding experience which I am truly grateful for.

Hello, my name is Sacha, starting at Pownall in 2023 I’ve been based in the Kingfisher room. I studied my teaching at Edge Hill University and came out with 2:1 degree.
I have had experience working with children at many different schools through agency work. I had the opportunity to work alongside different ages and children with special needs.
I knew I wanted to work within the field since the birth of my nieces and nephews. Early years is my favourite as everyday is different. Being apart of the journey, watching children you teach, learn and grow is a very rewarding experience.
I have a partner called Max, and two long haired chihuahuas called Grace and Lola. In our spare time we like to be active, going to the gym or walks. We love food, so most weekends we like trying out new restaurants and cuisines.
I am very much looking forward to your transition to Kingfishers and having lots of adventures and learning.

Early Years Teacher
My name is Judith Earl. I began my career at Pownall Hall School back in 1995. I spent many wonderful years sharing my time with the 2 year old children in the nursery, now Owls. In 2024 I became the lead of the Heron Room provision for the 3 year old children. I am inspired by nature!
Being outside makes us happy, the natural light and fresh air re-energises us and we feel uplifted. Green and natural spaces are good for our mental health and our wellbeing. The smells, sounds and sights allow us to ‘tune in’ to nature and are incredibly relaxing for the mind. Outdoor activities such as grounding, forest bathing or practising mindfulness connect us more deeply with the world around us.
What is more, as our appreciation of the world around us grows, we are more likely to take responsibility for caring for the natural environment, creating our green architects of the future!
In Herons we feel the awe and wonder of nature everyday as we follow our Nature Curriculum. At Pownall we are extremely lucky to have our wonderful, natural grounds and we take time to appreciate the environment around us as part of our daily routine. It really is amazing! You may hear me talk a lot about ‘Hygge’.
Hygge (pronounced hue-guh) encompasses a feeling of happiness, cosy contentment and well being by enjoying the simple things in life. I bring Hygge into both my home and the Herons environment. Calm colours, cosy blankets, plants and flowers, enjoying food and drinks, family and friends.
