A New Chapter Begins – Our Library Opens
Last week marked a very special moment in Pownall’s story as we opened the doors to our brand-new library, right in the heart of our 400-year-old hall.
The project has been a real labour of love, made possible thanks to the incredible support of our PSA. We are so grateful to them for funding and championing this new space, and to Mrs Reed for her tireless organisation and vision in bringing it to life.
Two pupils from every form joined together to help cut the ribbon, with Russell Kane doing the honours to declare the library officially open. It was wonderful to see the excitement on the children’s faces as they stepped inside – a place created just for books, stories and imagination.
The library already feels like it belongs here. A quiet corner in the heart of school life, where children can lose themselves in a story or discover something new. We know it will be treasured for years to come.
Here’s to many chapters ahead.
