Introducing our Head Boy & Head Girl Team for 2025/26!
We are incredibly proud to introduce this year’s pupil leaders – four exceptional children who truly represent everything that makes Pownall such a special community to be a part of. Each of them brings their own unique strengths, passions and ideas to their role, and we know they will lead with kindness, enthusiasm and integrity throughout the year ahead.
Head Girl – Hermione
Hermione is a natural leader with a warm heart and a thoughtful approach to everything she does. She loves playing football, baking with her family and enjoying board games together. Hermione says she is “very proud to be Head Girl” and believes she was chosen because she is “kind, responsible and hardworking.” This year, her goals include being a positive role model for younger pupils, giving her all to her entrance exams, and embracing every opportunity – from sports fixtures and the Year 6 play, to her final Pownall residential. Hermione says she’ll try her best “not to cry at Speech Day”, but we suspect there may be a few tears of pride when the time comes!
Head Boy – Edward
Edward is known for his determination, sense of humour and friendly nature. A nationally competing swimmer and active Scout, he enjoys developing new skills and always seeing things through to the end. Edward says he’s “so happy to be Head Boy of this wonderful school,” and hopes to be “a friendly and approachable role model” who upholds Pownall’s values every day. He believes he was chosen for being reliable, trustworthy and enthusiastic — qualities that shine through in everything he does. Edward’s energy and positivity make him a brilliant ambassador for our school community.
Deputy Head Girl – Chloe
Chloe brings warmth, kindness and creativity to her role as Deputy Head Girl. She loves football, netball and is learning to play the guitar — showing her enthusiasm for trying new things both in and out of the classroom. Chloe says she’s “very proud” to have been chosen and believes it’s because she’s a “kind and caring person who always tries her best.” Her goal this year is to be an inspiring role model for younger pupils, to make the most of every opportunity and to “enrich the lives of the younger Pownall students.” With her thoughtful nature and infectious positivity, we know she’ll do just that.
Deputy Head Boy – Rupert
Rupert’s passion for learning and his calm, considered approach make him a wonderful Deputy Head Boy. He particularly enjoys Science, IT and DT, and loves spending time playing golf and cricket. Rupert says he’s “proud to represent the school and support the Head Boy,” aiming to be “the best role model possible” and to encourage everyone “to treat others with fairness and respect.” His quiet confidence and genuine care for others make him a fantastic example for all Pownall pupils to follow.
Together, Hermione, Edward, Chloe and Rupert form a team that perfectly reflects values we hold dear at Pownall – respect, kindness, ambition and community. We can’t wait to see all that they achieve this year as they lead, inspire and make their mark on school life.
